Rayne’s Music

 

At its most powerful, music transcends barriers, uniting people who on the surface may seem to have little in common. Accordingly, Rayne is without doubt, an indispensable resource in the entertainment industry, her music providing both inspiration and salvation.

Rayne was born and raised in Sydney Australia. At the tender age of 4 she entered into the entertainment industry, training as a classical ballerina. Her first performance soon followed the age of 6, in “The King & I “Being a diverse and energetic child she also trained and competed in state swimming and diving competitions being awarded a variety of ribbons and medals. She was proudly accepted in the Western Australian ballet company at the age of 15.

At the age of 16 she toured and performed with the Australian Opera Company in opera’s such as “La Traviata” and “The Merry Widow” with Dame Joan Sutherland. One particular evening, a chorus singer was absent due to illness and Rayne was invited to stand in. This was to be her introduction to singing. Surging forward, along with her classical training in RAD, Kirov and Cecchetti methods, Rayne also commenced training in Jazz , Modern, Tap , choreography, singing and acting. Identifying unique talent, Rayne was also invited to join a modelling agency appearing in many magazines, Fashion Shows, TV shows and commercials.

At the age of 18, Rayne branched out into the world of commercial dance performing with “Barry Humphries” , “Frankie Howard”, “ Robert Palmer”, “ Peter Allen”, “ Paul Hogan”, “ Christopher Cross”,” Meatloaf” and “Elton John” to name but a few, and including various musicals, the last few being “ A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To the Forum” and “ Prisoner Cell Block H.”

Rayne worked in many aspects of the industry (Fashion, Bands, Acting, TV and Dance) touring in countries such as Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, London, Paris, Morocco, Turkey and Dubai. She lived for many years in London where she worked with an independent record label in the roles of A&R, Production, Songwriter and Artist. It was in London Rayne immersed herself into Rock, Pop, Blues, soul, RnB, Country and Folk styles of music. Rayne released her first album which she wrote and co produced in 2004 called “Between Heaven & Earth” and released in Los Angeles in 2008.  Her second album called “Journey’s” was released in 2009. This album has a notable combination of Rock, Pop and Country. She is currently working on new material.

Rayne is finding her audience in the best way possible; through heartfelt, intensely personal music. It is this bond that will bring in more and more fans who want to be enveloped in the warmth and realness of her music. Rayne’s music is testament to the trials and triumphs of life – hers, yours, everyone’s.
